Customer Agreement & Payment Policy

Grain Works Flooring
Effective Date: November 4, 2025

This Customer Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Grain Works Flooring (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) and the undersigned client (“Customer,” “you”). By signing this Agreement or submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

1. Project Approval & Deposit

  • Before work begins, the Customer must approve the written estimate or proposal provided by Grain Works Flooring.

  • A 50% deposit of the total project cost is required to schedule and secure the project start date.

  • Deposits may be paid via Stripe, our secure online payment processor. Stripe uses industry-standard encryption to protect all transactions.

2. Remaining Balance

  • The remaining 50%, plus any approved change orders or additional charges, will be due immediately upon project completion.

  • The final balance must be paid in full before the release of any materials, final walkthrough, or warranty activation.

3. Change Orders & Additional Work

  • Any requested changes to materials, design, or project scope must be approved in writing.

  • Additional costs resulting from such changes will be added to the final invoice and must be paid in full upon completion.

4. Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Stripe (Credit/Debit Card) — Secure online processing through our website or payment link.

  • Cashier’s Check / Business Check — Payable to Grain Works Flooring.

  • Other secure payment methods as agreed in writing.

Note: Grain Works Flooring never collects or stores your financial information directly. All online payments are handled securely through Stripe, and your financial data is never visible to or retained by us.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or the project has been scheduled.

  • If the project is cancelled before materials are ordered, a partial refund may be issued at the company’s discretion.

  • No refunds will be given after work has commenced or materials have been customized, cut, or installed.

6. Project Timeline

We strive to begin and complete work according to the proposed schedule. However, timelines may be affected by material delays, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Any significant changes will be communicated promptly.

7. Limited Warranty

Grain Works Flooring provides a limited workmanship warranty covering installation defects directly caused by our work for a period of 3 (three) months after completion. This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Moisture or environmental damage

  • Damage caused by improper maintenance or third-party work

Manufacturer warranties for flooring materials are separate and subject to the manufacturer’s own terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

Grain Works Flooring is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from project work, materials, or installation. Total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the project in question.
